Some rides are about the destination. Some are about the road. And then there are rides like The East Coast Coalesce, where the real highlight is the people you ride with.
Held from 6th to 8th March 2026, this event marked the 7th anniversary of Reborn Riders 7A, Chennai, an official Jawa Yezdi Nomads Kommuniti chapter. But it was much more than an anniversary ride. It became a coming together of riders, clubs, vintage lovers and legends of the motorcycling world.
As the group rode from Chennai to Pondicherry, the East Coast route came alive with the unmistakable exhaust note of Jawa and Yezdi machines and the kind of warmth only a true riding community can bring.
A 7th Anniversary That Became Something Bigger
Reborn Riders 7A did not celebrate their seventh anniversary in a small, closed circle. They made it a shared moment for the wider Jawa Yezdi Nomads Kommuniti. Riders from different clubs and cities joined in, turning the event into a true coalesce in every sense of the word.
What made it special was the feeling of unity. This was not just one chapter hosting a ride. It was several clubs showing up for each other, riding together, and celebrating a bond built on motorcycles, memories and a shared love for the road.
Close to 95 riders took part in the event, which speaks volumes about the strength of this community and the spirit that keeps it growing.

Chennai to Pondicherry: A Route Made for Riders
The journey from Chennai to Pondicherry provided the perfect setting for this event. The East Coast stretch is one of those routes that naturally invites you to slow down and enjoy the ride.
The sea breeze, the open road and the changing light along the coast made it the right backdrop for a ride that was as much about connection as it was about motorcycling.
For Jawa and Yezdi riders, a route like this has its own charm. It is not only scenic but also full of character. You ride through it, taking in every kilometre, every stop and every conversation along the way.
Legends Who Made the Gathering Even More Special
What gave The East Coast Coalesce even more heart was the presence of respected names from the racing and vintage motorcycling world of South India.
The event was honoured by:
- Mr TS Kannan - A legendary racer of two-stroke Jawa-Yezdi motorcycles on the Sholavaram race track in Chennai, who was 81 years young on the event date.
- Mr Jawa Sekar - A veteran who has served the community since the 1990s and is known for his expertise in two-stroke Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles.
- Mr Stephen - A recognised expert in vintage motorcycles, acknowledged by the Government of Tamil Nadu, with decades of passion for riding and working on machines.
Their presence reminded everyone that the Jawa and Yezdi legacy is about iconic motorcycles and the people who kept this culture alive through the years.
Where Vintage Love Met New-Generation Refinement
One of the most beautiful things about this ride was the way it brought together vintage lovers and new-generation motorcycles in the same space. Jawa and Yezdi have always had a rich legacy, but events like this show that the story is still moving forward.
The brief makes it clear that the new-generation motorcycles were welcomed and appreciated for the refinement they bring today. It respects heritage, but it is not stuck in the past. It knows how to celebrate the old soul of these motorcycles while also embracing the strength and smoothness that the machine’s riders enjoy today.
More Than an Event, A Feeling That Stays
At its heart, The East Coast Coalesce was not just a 7th-anniversary ride. It was a reminder of what makes the Jawa Yezdi Nomads Kommuniti so meaningful. It is the friendships formed over long rides. It is a mix of old stories and new machines. It is the respect for legends and the excitement of welcoming fresh faces into the fold.
Conclusion
The East Coast Coalesce was a celebration of seven years of Reborn Riders 7A, but, more importantly, of the spirit that defines the Jawa Yezdi community.
With riders from different clubs, the scenic Chennai-to-Pondicherry route, the presence of legendary names and the coming together of vintage and modern motorcycles, this was a ride that carried meaning with every mile.
